Home: Then and Now

Living in Mexico City and having spent some of the best moments of my adult life in such cities as Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro, its easy to find myself comparing my current stomping grounds - to my last. So, in a new years urge to do some virtual posting here is quick comparison, that I hope to add as a regular feature to GOOD INTENTIONS. HOME: Then and Now

PLACES I LIVED.

Mexico City

First Neighborhood::Coyoacan
Great Coffee Shops, Colonial Architecture, Frida Kahlo's House, Two Plazas, Weekend Street Fair, Daily Market with Tostadas, , Pinatas, and bootleg DVDs.http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif

Current Neighborhood::Villa Olimpica
A new BRT stop being built for the MetroBus line, a view of the mountains and my basketball gym from my 8th floor apartment, and dense apartment living.

Rio de Janeiro

"Alto Leblon"
10 blocks away from the beach. Great weather, music, food, and vibe. This city was great because of the people and the landscape. I wish I could go back and live there without the 30 american students I was studying with. No offense guys. Anyway, I lived at the base of the mountains you see in the distance.
